Savings Comparison

For when choosing the right account gets too tough.

Tax free accounts

From 6 April 2015, a 0% tax rate for savings means more pensioners, low earners, or those with only investment income, can have some or all of their savings interest paid without tax being deducted. For more information and to check if you're eligible please go to gov.uk/taxfreesavings.

If eligible, adults and children can be registered for gross interest by completing the Getting your savings interest without tax taken off (form R85) for each account held with the Society. This form is also available from any Chelsea Building Society branch or by calling us on 0345 850 4041. If you are not eligible to receive gross interest then interest will be paid with tax deducted. Please note, gross interest can only be paid to customers who are aged 16 or over if they are the named account holder.

With one of our cash ISAs, you can save tax-free anything from £10 up to £15,240 in the 2015/2016 tax year.

See our ISAs explained section to help you understand ISAs and the different savings limits. To find out more download our free ISA guide.
