Gross rate is the interest rate payable before any income tax is deducted. It can only be paid subject to the required registration.
AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and shows you what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and added each year. This will enable you to compare more easily the return you can expect from your savings over time.

How to apply
This savings account can be opened at a branch or via the post.
You will need
- Your opening deposit. Cheques should be made payable to the unregistered and/or unincorporated charity, club, society or association or to 'Yorkshire Building Society a/c (the name of the unregistered Charity/Club/Society or Association)'.
- Name and address, ID of signatories.
- A copy of your constitution and/or rules or your HMRC Exemption Certificate.
